In some ways, making Norman Reedus a hero known for riding a motorcycle in Marvel Comics feels uninspired, but that’s not the case here.
An audience is immediately captivated by his charismatic aura. Add to that the idea of playing a character who sacrifices for his family, and Reedus’ Ghost Rider role begins to look more and more like his destiny. His success in The Walking Dead already makes him a financially viable leading man, and all Kevin Feige and the company have to do is contact him.
As soon as Marvel Studios announced that they would be bringing back Ghost Rider for the MCU, fans speculated who might be the next emissary from hell. Only Norman Reedus and Keanu Reeves stuck out among the many names thrown at the wall. Since both of these superstars have great skills and methods, even Marvel Studios finds it hard to choose one over the other.
Film fans and actors alike are delighted with this news. Seeing two candidates from Marvel Comics’ most well-known and loved biker from hell is definitely something to look forward to when they finally face off for the role in the MCU in terms of their interactions with each other and how their relationship progresses as professionals.
Productions often have a difficult time deciding between two candidates for a role when they are so similar in so many ways. All Marvel Studios can do right now is let the casting directors decide which actor would be a better fit for the role of Ghost Rider. Until then, all we can do is hope that our favorite star is cast.
