Popeye Vs The Hulk, Who would win? Continue reading to discover who we believe would emerge victorious in a head-to-head battle between these two legendary comic book heroes.
Popeye:
Thimble Theater’s Popeye is a spinach-powered Sailorman who infuses his energy into everything he does. Due to his popularity, he was given his own series. It is no secret that Popeye is a very powerful character, even though he was created in the old days. The man is capable of lifting anchors and ships with his bare hands and casually destroying solid steel.
As far as speed is concerned, Popeye is pretty fast as well. A few seconds are all it takes for him to run downstairs! As far as durability is concerned, Popeye is able to take lasers, and punches from Bluto, be knocked into stars, and even be disintegrated. How does he survive all of this?

There are two reasons for this. The first is his spinach. One of the deadliest weapons in fiction, his spinach gives him a 1000% power boost. Additionally, he is immune to pain when he consumes it. Furthermore, he has his toon force, which allows him to break the fourth wall, fight the animator, or summon weapons in hammerspace. Because Popeye is so powerful and overpowered, his creators have created a sheet listing all of his accomplishments:
Respect Popeye the Sailor Man! (Popeye)

The Hulk:
In Marvel comic books, the Hulk is one of the strongest characters. In contrast to Captain America, Hulk does not fear killing his enemies. His main means of attack is brute strength, which allows him to effortlessly lift cars and buildings. Is he also capable of creating earthquakes, or should I say Hulk-quakes? The Hulk also has a few special moves, including a powerful charge move called the Gamma Charge. This punch hits the foe so hard that they will bounce off anything behind them.
Hulk is also known for his anger. During his most angry moments, he ignores the pain and enters into an almost uncontrollable bloodlust. In addition to trading blows with Thor, the Hulk has lifted a 20 million-ton mountain on his own and survived a blast of Fing Fang Foom’s fire, which is 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit. However, Hulk is pretty stupid, constantly outwitted, and too much damage turns him into Bruce Banner again.

Aftermath:
The Hulk is a very tough opponent for most, but he couldn’t do much to Popeye. From speed to durability to strength, Popeye outperformed the Hulk in almost every category. Having no counter to Popeye’s spinach also didn’t help.
Hulk has a similar fighting style to Bluto, whom Popeye has defeated on several occasions. Hulk’s brute strength is no match for Popeye’s Toon force. Popeye can lift a planet with one arm, whereas Hulk can lift 20 million tons of mountains.
There is only one winner, and that is Popeye.
