In a very strange for cinema blockbusters, you may be wondering just who were the Highest-Paid Actors Of 2021. In response to a slump in box office returns over the course of 2020, 2021 has seen a return to growth as big-budget films compete with each other to maximize both their ticket sales and their streaming time on the big screen. Despite the fact that the global box office will only fully recover by 2023, according to Variety, there is no denying that our list of the Highest-Paid Actors Of 2021 are still raking in some nice paychecks for their roles in these blockbusters.

6. Mark Wahlberg – USD$30 Million

The Netflix film Spenser Confidential, starring Mark Wahlberg, was one of the biggest hits of 2017. I wouldn’t say that the action / comedy was Oscar-worthy, but it was at the right place at the right time. It was one of the most viewed films of the year 2021, because of its release during the pandemic.

5. Leonardo DiCaprio – USD$30 Million

Leonardo DiCaprio has no shortage of cash in his pockets, and he is back to his best in the year 2021. Don’t Look Up, the upcoming sci-fi thriller that stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, will make DiCaprio and Lawrence some serious cash. Due to a combination of signing salary as well as back end projections, the leading man managed to rake in a whopping USD$30 million.

4. Denzel Washington – USD$40 Million

In Hollywood, Denzel is arguably one of the most consistent men in the industry, and he has a bank account to match. His two-time Academy Award-winning career as an actor, producer, and director continues to bolster his bottom line through major roles. Washington reportedly earned something in the region of USD$40 million for his performance in the thriller The Little Things.

3. Will Smith – USD$40 Million

He reportedly earned over $40 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter, as it was reported that he appeared in the Oscar-contesting film King Richard as the father of tennis players Venus and Serena Williams. In addition to the financial windfall the actor/producer obtained, reports report that Smith reportedly offered a significant amount of compensation to castmates who had been adversely affected financially by the film’s failure to make an impact at the box office. According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Smith also gave each of his King Richard co-stars an iPhone 12 Pro Max and a Polaroid camera as “treats.”

There is no doubt that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson belongs to the A-list of the highest-paid actors, but this year he has fallen to second place. The estimated USD$50 million salary is a projection, with the initial reports suggesting that his Red Notice pay-cheque may be closer to USD$30 before back-end box office participation.

1. Daniel Craig – USD$100 Million

It is Daniel Craig, however, who stands out above all the other stars, boasting a $100 million deal with Netflix for two more Knives Out movies.

It has been announced that Daniel, who played the part of master sleuth Benoit Blanc in the hit Whodunnit of 2019, has been tapped to reprise the role. Netflix has won the rights to two sequels, as well as a readymade franchise, in a $469 million deal. There was only one contingency to the deal: Daniel must star in both sequels and each must have a budget equal to or higher than that of the 2019 movie.
