You can spend hours in the gym, but you must also eat right, otherwise, all that iron lifting will be for nothing. You can bet your heaviest dumbbell that Dwayne Johnson’s daily meal plan is as impressive as his size. To play Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe, he knew he would need to put on even more muscle.

In an interview with Men’s Health, the actor revealed he would eat six meals a day to bulk up. To maintain his superhero physique, he had a team of chefs and a strength and conditioning coach. It is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and The Rock starts the day with ‘eggs, a meat like bison, a complex carb like oatmeal, and fruit, usually papaya or blueberries’.

A typical meal will consist of ‘complex carbs like rice, chicken breast, and greens’. Until his last meal of the day, it’s pretty much the same kind of meal.

He always aims to hit all the macros necessary to create a superhero body, no matter what his team cooks up. Protein from fish, chicken, steak, or buffalo’, as well as complex carbs like sweet potatoes, and greens are important.

It’s time to say goodbye to those tasty treats you love to eat on a tough day. Johnson won’t eat anything unless it serves a purpose.

He was inspired by his father’s knowledge about nutrition: “He taught me very early on that food should nourish the body, not please the tongue.” The reason I need therapy is probably that he taught me that when I was five.
