On May 27, The Bob’s Burgers Movie will finally be released after years of delays, reschedules, and radio silence. The trailer for the spin-off film has been released. Director Loren Bouchard and producer Bernard Derriman, who served as supervising director on the show, direct the first feature based on the long-running Fox sitcom.

Bouchard collaborated on the script with Bob’s Burgers regular Nora Smith, and the two of them produced the film together with Janelle Momary. The film was produced by Disney’s 20th Century Studios. From the United States, Bento Box is responsible for the animation, with several international studios involved in the production. These include Yeson Entertainment, based in Seoul, and Tonic DNA, based in Montreal.

As a result of a ruptured water main, an enormous sinkhole appears right in front of Bob’s Burgers, blocking the entrance permanently and ruining the Belcher’s summer plans.

While Bob and Linda struggle to keep their restaurant afloat, the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family business. Despite the dangers, the underdogs help each other find hope and fight to get back behind the counter, where they belong.
