Will Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield return in Avengers: Secret Wars

Marvel Studios fans have been begging for the epic trio to return to the big screen since Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland joined forces in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The three Spider-Men are rumored to be reunited in Avengers: Secret Wars, so their prayers might just be answered after all.

Domestically, No Way Home grossed more than $800 million, and overseas, it crossed the $1 billion mark. All the Spider-Man trio came together in the film to fend off evil, perhaps one of the most thrilling moments in MCU history. The rumors about Secret Wars are now circulating.

Using their web-slinger skills, Garfield and Maguire decide to help Holland’s titular hero battle the various supervillains across the multiverse. Although they were successful in averting the threat posed by William Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker made a heroic sacrifice for the greater good. Considering the Peter Parkers’ formidable alliance in No Way Home, it’s not impossible for them to join forces again in future additions. Marvel has no shortage of supervillains. Hence, the Spider-Man trio is definitely essential to Secret Wars.

As for Holland’s Spider-Man, he’s rumored to appear in Avengers: Kang Dynasty (2025), which could further set up his appearance in Secret Wars along with his fellow Spideys.

It is expected that Avengers: Secret Wars will be the largest MCU project to date, especially since it will mark the end of Phase Six. Secret Wars is expected to feature characters from both the Marvel and Fox universes, although plot/cast details have not yet been revealed. As well as announcing big plans for the film, Kevin Feige assured the audience that there will be more to come.

It has been speculated that Secret Wars will feature a portal scene featuring superheroes and villains from across the multiverse appearing through portals from different dimensions. This could very well surpass both Endgame and No Way Home, something that Secret Wars would probably need to fulfill since it would conclude the last phase of the MCU.
