Brendan Fraser turns 54 today, and he’s known for several Hollywood classics from the late 90s and early 2000s. He appeared in the top-grossing films The Mummy and George of the Jungle, among others. In spite of the odd film appearance, the actor disappeared from the spotlight. The actor explained to fans that he wasn’t out of work by choice, but was instead not being cast by filmmakers.

According to Berk, Fraser’s career declined through no fault of his own. “The HFPA stands firmly against sexual harassment and the type of behavior described in this article,” according to the organization that presents the Golden Globes. In The Whale, he portrays a 600lb man trying to rekindle a relationship with his teenage daughter after abandoning her years earlier.
There will be a UK release of Fraser’s comeback film on 3 February 2023.
