An idea so brilliant, it’s a wonder the filmmakers haven’t thought of it before: making a film about a train full of assassins, and setting it on a bullet train in Japan. This is the story behind the aptly titled action-thriller Bullet Train, the latest film from acclaimed director David Leitch (formerly co-director of John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw) and based on K*tar* Isaka’s 2010 novel of the same name. Featuring a star-studded cast, stylish visuals, and a Japanese cover of the Bee Gees, the first trailer in the series gives you a good idea of what to expect from it: tons of blood-splattered fun. Watch it below:
The main character here is Brad Pitt, who plays goofy and aloof as an assassin who is tasked with snatching a briefcase from a bullet train. Eventually, it becomes apparent that he is not the only hired killer aboard, and soon it will be an all-out battle for survival as a larger plot is revealed. It is hard to imagine how Leitch’s entire filmography could be complete without punchy action, neon-soaked visuals, and comic beats, and Bullet Train is no different. There are fight-in-the-quiet-coach gags, stylish shots galore, sword-fights and knife-throws, all of which promise a fast and funny explosion of summer adrenaline.
The cast here is also amazing, Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz in a train uniform, Hiroyuki Sanada, Karen Fukuhara from The Boys, Joey King looking like a homicidal Selena Gomez, Logan Lerman looking like Post Malone, and Michael Shannon in a long flowing wig.
Is there anything else you could ask for? Lady Gaga was supposed to be in it as well, but due to scheduling conflicts with House Of Gucci, she sadly had to pull out. Other than that, not much to report.
You can find out if Bullet Train lives up to its giddy trailer – and Leitch’s previous action flings – when it hits the big screen this summer on 15 July.

An interesting discussion is worth comment. There’s no doubt
that that you ought to write more on this topic, it may not
be a taboo matter but generally folks don’t speak about these subjects.
