New ‘Peacemaker’ Red Band Trailer is Gonna Blow Your Mind

To ring in the New Year in a truly epic fashion, James Gunn released a brand new full-length red band trailer for his upcoming spinoff series Peacemaker, which stars John Cena in a reprise of his role from The Suicide Squad. It’s got a little bit of everything in the trailer, including action, comedy, F-bombs, as well as rock and roll!

In the second trailer for the sci-fi series starring John Cena’s character Christopher Smith, also known as Peacemaker, the anti-hero explains to a classful of kids how he has “defeated the world’s most dangerous villains.” The bizarre but endearing scene is hilariously intercut with shots of John Cena’s character kicking butt. In the next moment, one of the children raises his hand and asks Smith whether he has ever met Wonder Woman, and Smith, appearing to have forgotten or not cared to filter his words, tells the class that the heroine spent the entire party “eye-effing” him from across the room. It is natural for him to get some outraged responses from the adults present in the room as a result of this. For the rest of the trailer, Peacemaker does not hold back when it comes to his use of crude language as well as his use of violence.
