Henry Cavill and DC Extended Universe (DCEU) films are ready to bounce back with a new Superman film, whereas Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies are experiencing a drop in interest. A decade after the premiere of the first ‘Man of Steel’ movie, the DCEU will release ‘Man of Steel 2’ with Henry Cavill returning to the role in a new Superman movie.

Cavill is reportedly making a comeback, as well as appearing alongside Dwayne Johnson in the new ‘Black Adam’ movie. Christopher McQuarrie, who directed ‘Mission Impossible,’ is the favorite for the role of director for this second part of Clark Kent’s story.

There is a crossover movie involving Black Adam and Cavill’s Superman that Dwayne Johnson might be interested in starring in. Also, Ta-Nehisi Coates is reportedly in charge of a DCEU standalone film featuring a black Superman.
Following the success of ‘The Peacemaker’ and ‘Suicide Squad,’ James Gunn has also been confirmed as the director of a secret future project.
