A picture of the Oscar-nominated actor in costume as Roald Dahl’s beloved creation was shared on social media on Thursday showingTimothée Chalamet teased a first look at his portrayal Of Willy Wonka

In front of a camera on the set of the movie, he wears his trademark chocolate-brown top hat, burgundy velvet coat, and multicolored scarf. Chalamet captioned the image, quoting Gene Wilder’s famous line from the 1971 movie musical “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” which starred Wilder as Willy Wonka.

Wonka’s plot is being kept under wraps, but the IMDB website says the Warner Bros. prequel is set years before Dahl’s 1964 novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and will focus on the early years of Wonka. In March 2023, “Wonka,” a film directed by Paul King and starring Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman, and Jim Carter, is scheduled to be released.

Among his other screen credits are “Little Women,” “Beautiful Boy,” “Interstellar,” and “Dune.”
