The horror movie Terrifier 2, which is known for its bloody gore, just grossed $5.2 million worldwide.
The story of Terrifier 2 continues the story of Terrifier 1, with Art the Clown haunting a teenage girl and her brother on Halloween. Due to its shocking levels of gore, the movie was in the news earlier this month in the US and in the UK on Monday (24 October). However, it is fair to say that it has done extremely well, as the movie earned $5.2 million on just a $250,000 budget.
Over the past weekend, $1.8 million was brought in, an increase of 84 percent that allowed it to surpass $5 million. The average per theater is around $2,511 according to its distributor, Bloody Disgusting As an Indiegogo project, Terrifier 2 was not expected to perform so well.

As a result of the hype surrounding the terrifying adventure, money raised from the project soared to over 430 percent of its original goal. Critics are also heaping praise on the movie, not just fans. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the critics’ consensus is 88 percent, and the audience score is 85 percent.
North Shore Movies reviewer Sean Burns said: “Good lord, is ‘Terrifier 2’ disgusting. But it’s also a blast.” A movie reviewer at IGN, Matt Donato, said: “Terrifier 2 rips, tears, hacks, shreds, butchers, disembowels, decapitates, devours, pulverizes, tenderizes, slices, dices, skewers – I’m missing plenty – and knock-em-out-dead eviscerates the competition when it comes to low-budget slashers.”

According to Aaron Neuwirth for We Live Entertainment, “This is an overlong but effective splatter horror feature.”
There have been headlines in the US about Terrifier 2 making people pass out in the cinema. Andrew Liming, a fan of the show, shared a picture on Twitter of his friend passed out in the cinema. “The theater called an ambulance after my friend passed out while watching #Terrifier2. Definitely recommended.”
