The new trailer for The Suicide Squad has been released. The full-length teaser has been available for a select few on YouTube as part of pre-roll advertisements during the course of the day. In the meantime, it’s now been leaked as an “unlisted” video, which is most likely a marketing ploy disguised as a video.

The R-rated sequel, directed by James Gunn, looks like it’s going to be a riot. Here’s a new trailer that went up on YouTube this morning. Other trailers focused more on the action-packed madness of the movie, but this one begins with a story that is closer to home. During the film, we are introduced to Idris Elba’s Bloodsport, who is happily sweeping floors at Belle Reve Federal Penitentiary until Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) comes to recruit him for her squad.

The Suicide Squad will debut simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously on Aug. 6. The movie will also feature a prequel produced by Gunn, titled Peacemaker, starring John Cena as the lead. The film should be released in 2022. Watch the trailer below.
