Since The Fast & The Furious franchise launched back in 2001, some pretty crazy and jaw-dropping scenes have taken place. Here at Let’s Talk Movies, we thought it was about time to look back at the best movies of all time.

This is where it all began, so we had to include it. Fast and Furious franchise’s first street race and what lies in store for the next 20 years. Brian may have lost the race to Dom, but as he said after the race: “I almost had you”. He replied, “You almost had me? You never had me. You never had your car.”.

6. The Skyscraper Stunt – (Furious 7 – 2015)

The Fast & The Furious

This is definitely one of the most jaw-dropping movie moments ever. When you need to make a speedy getaway, you’ll do whatever it takes to get out of a skyscraper. It really is a sight to behold. “Fast” crew essentially said, “That was cool, but watch us drive a car through three skyscrapers.” Tom Cruise scaled a skyscraper in Abu Dhabi for “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol”.

5. The Parking Lot Scene (Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift – 2006)

Twinkie takes Sean to a Tokyo parking garage where drifter racers hang out. Here, we get our first glimpse of the underground race scene outside of the United States. Also here, Sean is introduced to the world of drift racing. Han teaches him how to drift quickly, after which he races Morimoto, DK’s right hand man, at the Car Park.

4. Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it’s a car. (Furious 7 – 2015)

After the seventh installment, scenes involving burning trains and tanks had become stale and mundane. How could the writers make them even more epic? What? Dropping big fuck off airplanes, of course.

The action set-piece remains one of the most memorable in the franchise. As with so many great moments, this one is as much about the banter and interactions between the characters as it is about the action.

2. Bank Vault Scene – (Fast Five – 2011)

The fifth film in the series was the turning point, transforming it from a street racing fender-bender into a heist movie on wheels. A bank vault mercilessly destroys everything in its path in this ridiculous scene. Street lights, cop cars, a bank lobby. The vault holds nothing back.

1. Brian’s Last Ride – (Furious 7 – 2015)

In 2013, after Paul Walker passed away during a break from filming, the planned ending of the seventh installment was scrapped, putting the film and franchise in doubt. It was an impossible task to craft the perfect farewell, so director James Wan and company – with the help of CGI and the late actor’s brothers as stand-ins – made it happen. In our opinion, this is the greatest and most tear jerking moment in the series’ history.
