If you didn’t know her by now, first off which rock have you been hiding under and second we here at Let’s Talk Movies have you covered. This is everything you need to know about Florence Pugh, She’s best known for her revealing dramatic performances, and various period dramas like Lady Macbeth, And King Lear.

Her critically acclaimed role in Ari Aster’s horror film ‘Midsommar‘. And in addition to joining an All-Star cast and Greta Gerwig iteration of ‘Little Women’, she’s now a part of the MCU starring alongside Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow.

Florence is no stranger to disturbing material in her first film role… which was also her first audition ever…( this girl!!!) At the age of 17 was alongside Game of Thrones star, Maisie Williams in the dramatic Thriller ‘The Falling‘  Florence played Abbey whose sudden fainting and death serves as the Catalyst for a collective hysteria of mysterious bouts of fainting throughout their school.

Then after playing a webcam model, who becomes one of several victims of a serial killer in the TV series, ‘Marcella’ Florence earned some major attention with her first starring role in a period drama Lady Macbeth, here she played Katherine in the early 19th century Housewife stuck in a Loveless and abusive marriage, who begins to act out in… a number of ways…

Florence plays historical figures getting entangled in political turmoil in 14th century Scotland in the drama ‘Outlaw King’, and she played the tragic Shakespearean figure Cordelia perfectly in the dystopian future adaptation of King Lear with Anthony Hopkins.

But woah woah woah don’t try to pigeonhole our girl, into British dramas. She crossed paths with Liam Neeson on a tumultuous train ride in ‘The Commuter‘, she played a paranormal con artist who begins to experience some actual paranormal activity in ‘Malevolent‘ and she played a leading lady in the critically acclaimed miniseries ‘The Little Drummer Girl‘, here she played Charlie an actress who’s recruited by Israeli intelligence to infiltrate and bring to Justice, a Palestinian terrorist group.

2019 Continue to propel Florence into international territory when she started to make big movies. There was ‘Fighting With My Family‘, in which she shared the screen with Dwayne Johnson, when she played real-life professional wrestler Paige who works her way up to the WWE. She joined forces with a horror film director Ari Aster who asked her to play Danni. In ‘Midsommar’, a girl who experiences a trauma joins her emotionally distant boyfriend and his friends on a retreat at the secluded home of a Swedish cult.

In our opinion, her performance didn’t seem too exhausting. She even stated in a Vanity Fair interview. “The majority of my time was literally wearing headphones and imagining my sister’s dying.” yikes!!!

We admit Florence has had a bizarre filmography. Florence stands out from the rest of her peers because every role is different from the next. In the 2019 playlist interview, we have a pretty special actor. She said “ I don’t go out of my way to look for the opposite of anything I’ve done previously. But for me, it’s always about interesting and complicated characters”

Florence Pew. Definitely has a lot of those under her belt and she’ll only continue to surprise us.
