Ben Whishaw, who plays Q in the new Bond film, believes a Gay Actor should replace Daniel Craig as James Bond. When Whitaker was recently asked by Attitude about the idea of a gay man playing Bond, he replied: “I mean, it would be quite an extraordinary thing. Of course I would like to see it.”.
In his own words, he said, “I feel strongly that we ought to be working towards a world where every person can play every role, and it would be thrilling if it didn’t matter about someone’s sexual orientation to take on a role like this. “We will see, we will see where we are. “I’m surprised just at how much has changed just in the last few years, so I look forward to seeing what happens.”
Asked who he would like to see as the next Bond, Whishaw suggested a couple of Hollywood’s upcoming stars. He praised Beauty and the Beast actor Luke Evans and Bridgerton’s breakout star Jonathan Bailey. As he continued: “I mean, they’re both wonderful and they’re both wonderful actors. “They’re both actors who would really be able to do it and would be ideal casting.”. It would be exciting to see either of them do it. I wonder if either of them would want to, because it’s not just the demands of the role, but also being Bond in the world and what that symbolizes, and how it might change your life.”
