After 12 years and 177 episodes, The Walking Dead has come to an end

After more than a decade on television, The Walking Dead is going out with a bang.

Last night (Sunday, November 20), the popular post-apocalyptic horror television series aired its finale. The 177th episode of the series aired in this episode. As the last remaining survivors struggled to overcome The Commonwealth, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) led the way.

In spite of this, the production tortured its fans with the 11th season, which was divided into three parts with eight episodes each.

Throughout the season, fans have tweeted about the highly awaited episode, while many have been emotional about the climax.

“Crying sobbing shaking throwing up #TWD.” wrote one person.

“Please accept my apologies in advance if Rick Grimes appears in The Walking Dead’s series finale.”

In the words of a third person: “Still my favorite show of all time.”. No matter what you say. “Tonight is such a bittersweet night.”

Another said, “THAT FINALE WAS EVERYTHING! Everything I’ve ever wanted! Thanks, Walking Dead!

Despite fans saying goodbye after 12 years, The Walking Dead has spawned multiple spin-offs, including Fear of the Walking Dead, Tales of the Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead: Dead City, just in case you still need your post-apocalyptic fix. Additionally, Rick and Michonne are developing their own show.

Radio Times reports that the series was announced at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year.”I’ve been working on it very deeply with Danai and Andy, and we continue to work on it pretty much every day with some Walking Dead veterans and some great new voices.” Scott Gimple said during the Walking Dead Universe Preview special in August. “Yes, it’s an epic love story, but it’s an epic and insane one,” he said.
