Next year’s Mad Max will be a prequel set before Fury Road, which means we might get a few of these groundbreaking films.
Tom Hardy might have to say goodbye to us in this! All of this was revealed at a press conference with George Miller, the director, and Chris Hemsworth, who is joining the cast along with Queens Gambits Anya Taylor-Joy. The experience of working on the film was a pinch-myself moment. The Thor actor said in Sydney that he would be shooting his fourth or fifth film in Australia. “It’s the biggest pinch myself moment out of everything I’ve done, because I grew up watching it (Mad Max) and it’s so iconic. What an honor! The pressure is definitely exciting, and it certainly motivates.”
Miller told reporters gathered Monday morning that she didn’t set out to make an epic movie. She wanted to tell a story she wanted to tell, but it turned out to contain a lot of different scenes. In regards to Fury Road, everything in the film happened over the course of three days and two nights. A long time has passed since the story begins. As a result, it has many different elements.
Gladys Berejiklian, state premier of New South Wales, said Furiosa will be the biggest film ever shot there. Because of unexpected rain, the crew had to shoot most of Fury Road in Namibia since the area was greener than expected.
The Mad Max franchise is iconic and I’m excited to see what Mr Miller pulls together next. Are you excited by this new project? Please comment below and let us know.
