It has just been announced that two New Batman Images have just been released, one featuring Robert Pattinson back in his Batsuit, and another featuring Bruce Wayne.
In a pair of new photos from The Batman, Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne looks like he’s already had a lot to deal with at the start of his crime-fighting career. The new movie, set for release in March, features Pattinson as a new incarnation of the Caped Crusader, who investigates the murders of a Zodiac-like Riddler. The Dark Knight seems to be stressed out in the photos, which is why he pummel’s that poor henchman to a pulp in the first trailer when he introduces himself as “vengeance.”
In an interview with Empire, where the new photos were first published, Robert Pattinson says Bruce has been hiding. The actor isn’t really a socialite. With Alfred, he is building all these little contraptions and things. Even Alfred thinks that he’s going crazy!”Bruce’s Batsuit illustrates just how much he’s been through, Pattinson says, “He’s been out every night for two years, getting beaten up and shot and stabbed and burned, and it shows. There’s even a bullet graze on the cowl, right at the beginning. Something I’ve never seen before.”
After two years of stalking the streets as Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, Bruce Wayne has fallen deep into Gotham City’s shadows. Following a series of sadistic ploys targeting Gotham’s elite, the World’s Greatest Detective finds himself immersed in the underworld, Among those he meets are Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), and Carmine Falcone, aka the Riddler (Paul Dano).). In order to bring justice to Gotham City’s abuse of power and corruption, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the perpetrator, and find out the extent of this perpetrator’s plan as the evidence points closer to home.
There is plenty of Batman to come for fans of the Dark Knight. While many are excited to see Pattinson play a new version of the superhero, fans are also pleased to see Michael Keaton return to the role he played in Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns. Fans will get two Batmans for the price of one when he reprises that role for The Flash. Affleck, who has played Bruce Wayne in the DCEU, will also appear as his version. There are no plans for Affleck to return to the role after The Flash, so this is likely to be his final appearance as the character, while Keaton is expected to appear in more Batman movies.
Peter Craig and Matt Reeves co-wrote the screenplay for The Batman, which is directed by Reeves. There is no reason it shouldn’t have a sequel if it does well. HBO Max is also developing two spinoff shows. The Batman is set for release in movie theaters on March 4, 2022.
