5. The Last Duel

I thought the performances were excellent, and the script, although at times repetitive, was nevertheless interesting to follow. Despite the fact that Scott probably did not have a lot of material to work with to develop that into an elaborate narrative, he still manages to produce a well-crafted film that deserves to be seen. This is a book that I would strongly recommend to anyone who likes Scott’s work as well as anyone who is interested in history, since the level of detail is extraordinary.
