Sony is promoting the digital release of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City by providing free access to the first nine minutes of the game.
If you didn’t catch Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City on the big screen, you can now stream the movie from home. In addition to releasing the first nine minutes of the film online for free, Sony has also made the film available to rent on-demand. You can get a great sense of this video game adaptation by watching the footage below, per IGN.

Raccoon City is the setting of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, once the thriving home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying midwestern town. As a result of the company’s exodus, the city became a wasteland…with plenty of evil brewing below the surface. There are a few survivors amongst the group of survivors when the evil behind Umbrella is unleashed. This group must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and survive the night.”
