It is no secret Deadpool and Spider-Man are no strangers to each other in the comic books, and a recent crossover ran for fifty issues between 2016 and 2019. One of the common characteristics between the two superheroes is their disposition for levity and jest, which is just one of the many similarities between them. I’m sure Spider-Man and Deadpool like to crack jokes, that’s for sure, but I think there’s more to their pairing than that. The creator of Deadpool, Rob Liefield, has even admitted that the design of his superhero is inspired by the suit of Spider-Man. At various points in the comics, Deadpool even pretended to be both Peter Parker and his alter ego Spider-Man at the same time.
