There is a first look at the upcoming film Last Night in Soho, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Sandy shows us yet another talent this young actress possesses. It has been a long time since Anya revealed that singing on screen has been something she’s wanted to do for a long time, and now she’s got her wish.

Anya confessed that she’s always loved singing, so her family can be sure that she will keep on loving it! When they asked “Where is the switch so we can shut you off?” because I am constantly singing and dancing, and being a general nuisance”, she recalled. As for her performance in Last Night in Soho, it will be a far cry from her portrayal of her character’s overconfidence in Emma, where she sang in an intentionally over-the-top scene. As she told Den of Geek, “When I turned my head left, I tried to give it the most breathy, overdramatic, ain’t I pretty performance I have ever given.”
He continued, “But every time I watch it, I just cringe. I think, “Oh my God, this is like watching an old home movie.” I can’t stop it from making me itch.”
