The Hive may be opening up all over again, as Resident Evil prepares to make a massive return to small screens and big screens. With various animated and live-action outings and a disappointing Netflix series, Resident Evil has kept us entertained since Milla Jovovich originated Alice in 2002.
In 2021, the Resiverse has ground to a halt, with Netflix’s series canceled after one season and Johannes Roberts’ Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City struggling in both commercial and critical terms. A Resident Evil movie and Netflix series are in the works at Constantin Films, according to Geek Vibes Nation. This should be taken with a grain of salt, but apparently, a prequel series to Resident Evil Zero will adapt the events of the movie.
