What are the ‘Highest Grossing Movies’ of all time in terms of their box office gross? The fact that four of the twenty highest-grossing movies of all time came out last year may surprise you. The statistics are, of course, skewed because of the higher ticket prices and increases in population. When adjusted for inflation, no other movie can even come close to the $3.7 billion haul that Gone with the Wind’s $390 million box-office receipts since its release in 1939 would be worth today. In this case, we’re examining the seven highest grossing movies in terms of gross dollar receipts over the years.

7. The Lion King (2019) – $1,670,727,580

The lion cub Simba is the pride and joy of his parents, King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi, who live in Africa. Simba is being prepared by Mufasa to be the next king of the jungle. Although, the naive Simba believes in his uncle Scar who is envious of Mufasa, and wants to kill Mufasa and Simba to become the next king. In order to lure Simba and his friend Nala to go to a forbidden place, he lures them to a place where they are attacked by hyenas, but Mufasa is able to rescue them.

Scar then plots another scheme to eliminate Mufasa and Simba, but the cub escapes alive and leaves the kingdom believing that he had been responsible for the death of his father. It seems that Scar has now become the king, supported by the evil hyenas, while Simba grows in a distant land. Later on, Nala meets Simba and tells him that the kingdom is no longer a paradise, but a creepy wasteland. I wonder what Simba will do next.

It has been 84 years since a 100 year-old woman named Rose DeWitt Bukater told the story to her granddaughter Lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell, and Anatoly Mikailavich on the Keldysh about her life set in April 10th 1912, on a ship named the Titanic. In the late spring, Rose was standing in front of the leaving ship with other upper-class passengers, including her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, and her fiancé, Caledon Hockley. In the meantime, a drifter and artist named Jack Dawson and his best friend Fabrizio De Rossi win third-class tickets to the ship in a game.
