No Shazam Leaks, No Shazam Problem

You’re Shazammed! David F. Sandberg, the director of the sequel, took to twitter on Monday to reveal all the heroes in costume for the first time. As for the director, he posted the photo on Twitter, saying that he released it so as to be ahead of any potential set photos being leaked (smart guy). As a matter of fact, it always seems to be the risk with these superhero films.

“I don’t know how long we can keep the new suits from leaking so here’s a picture I took the other day,” the director tweeted. There are Shazaam (Zachary Levi) along with the adult superhero forms of Freddie Freeman ( Adam Brody), Darla Dudley (Meagan Good), Eugene Choi (Ross Butler), Mary Bromfield (Michelle Borth), and Pedro Pe*a ( DJ Cotron) in the cover photo.

Fans with eagle eyes may have noticed that Shazam’s costume is a little different from the somewhat puffy-looking stuffed animal version of him. As well as the returning cast – which includes Jack Dylan Grazer as an impressionable Freddie Freeman – the sequel will also feature Lucy Liu as Kalypso and Helen Mirren as Hespera, both of whom are daughters of Atlas. Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be released on June 2, 2023.
