Spider-Man: No Way Home reprises Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for their roles as their respective Variants of Peter Parker, and fans canhardlywait to see more of them.
Thereare rumours circulatingthatMarvel wants Tobey and Andrew back for Secret Wars. It began with a tweet from MyTimeToShineHello (the Redditor who leaked the plot of the threequel a few months ago). That would be an appropriate place to bring heroes together from across the Multiverse, though it does sound like Marvel Studios may prioritize Garfield.
As a result of the actor’s performance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, a later Tweet claimed, “Andrew Garfield may actually come back for several projects.” Daniel Richtman also confirmed that Garfield may return.
One possibility could be Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Morbius (which appears to be set in the same reality as The Amazing Spider-Man franchise), or even a new take on The Amazing Spider-Man 3 continuing his story following No Way Home.
This sort of speculation was to be expected, but the response to the latest Marvel Studios movie should make everyone aware of how much interest there is in seeing more of Garfield and Maguire. There is a possibility both Spider-Man movies could return as soon as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and it appears live-action plans are being mulled over for both of these beloved big-screen web-slingers.
